The Jesse email

Okay folks, you HAVE to read between the lines. I’m saddened that we even have to have this debate and that we have to talk some people off the ledge. Its disgraceful. Nothing has changed. Never have they said they will win the nomination. EVER. When did they ever say that? This is a multi-progned effort to Libery because it TAKES that.

We have been silent and deadly and will continue to be. This message is as much for opposition voters as it is for MSM. The Paul camp knows the supporters will know the real truth. The campaign CANNOT tell Paul supporters what to REALLY do. They are playing by the rules. Paul has brought us to the brink. Now its our job to do what we must. But they can’t say that… out there.

They are playing the MSM and will beat them at their own game. It saddens me that some think that the Paul camp has known all along that the MSM lies and now all of a sudden they think they are honest.

COME ON. This message is the utmost leap of faith the Paul camp could have for his supporters and you have to follow through. They are relying on all of us. Nothing changes. At all!

Please, please, please read between the lines this is the final push don’t stop now. Do not stop now. Whatever you do. Keep pushing ahead. Remember, not every man had to make it out of Bastogne. Just enough to win! Go go go go go!!!!!

EDIT: To clarify, I believe Paul is trying to win the nomination still. But he’s also trying to start a Liberty movement that gets so big it can’t be stopped. He’s going for all of it, but he MUST get whatever he can.

Romney has the ‘Absentee’ Ballot Rallies.

Ron Paul has the ‘Present & Ready for orders’ rallies!

Jack is spot on. Think about it.

If Ron Paul is getting an average of 4,000 (rough estimate) at his rallies, and Romney is getting an average of 400, what to you think the rest of the State Conventions are going to look like, considering that the majority of the Romney crowd just obeys whatever their TV’s & MSM tell them to do.

I do have to say though that the rEVOLution certainly does have quite an interesting mixed bag of brothers & sisters though. haha

Very spirited bunch. Not always calm, cool, and collected, but yet we have those who are too.

But, it’s like the old cheer goes, “WE’VE GOT SPIRIT, YES WE DO, WE’VE GOT SPIRIT, HOW ABOUT YOU?”…. and the rest of the GOP goes quite. 🙂

Good gracious, I do love me some rEVOLution Baby!

Memorandum

To: Supporters, Interested Parties

From: Jesse Benton, Chief Strategist

Date: May 15, 2012

Re: Paul Campaign Convention Strategy

Every day, I see firsthand how humbled and encouraged Dr. Paul is to have the enthusiastic support of so many who are committed to revitalizing our country.

Let me be very clear. Dr. Paul is NOT dropping out or suspending his campaign.

As Dr. Paul has previously stated, he is in this race all the way to the Republican National Convention in Tampa this August.

And he is deeply grateful for every resource he has been entrusted with to run an historic campaign that continues to defy all expectations.

Looking ahead, our campaign must honor that trust by maximizing our resources to ensure the greatest possible impact at the National Convention.

So while our campaign is no longer investing in the remaining primary states, we will continue to run strong programs at District and State Conventions to win more delegates and alternate delegates to the National Convention.

To this end, our campaign has several positive and realistic goals:

1) Having recently WON Maine, we believe we can win several more states.

2) We will win party leadership positions at both the state and national levels.

3) We will continue to grow our already substantial total of delegates.

We will head to Tampa with a solid group of delegates. Several hundred will be bound to Dr. Paul, and several hundred more, although bound to Governor Romney or other candidates, will be Ron Paul supporters.

Unfortunately, barring something very unforeseen, our delegate total will not be strong enough to win the nomination. Governor Romney is now within 200 delegates of securing the party’s nod. However, our delegates can still make a major impact at the National Convention and beyond.

All delegates will be able to vote on party rules and allow us to shape the process for future liberty candidates.

We are in an excellent position to make sure the Republican Party adds solid liberty issues to the GOP Platform, which our delegates will be directly positioned to approve. Our campaign is presently working to get several items up for consideration, including monetary policy reform, prohibitions on indefinite detention, and Internet freedom.

Finally, by sending a large, respectful, and professional delegation to Tampa, we will show the party and the country that not only is our movement growing and here to stay, but that the future belongs to us.

Dr. Paul will begin this new phase of the campaign this Friday by speaking and holding several events at the Minnesota State Convention. He has also recently accepted an invitation to speak at the Texas Convention, and we are busy scheduling appearances around other State Conventions later this month and into June.

As Dr. Paul stated in his message yesterday, this fight is NOT over. We will continue fighting and expanding, and “we will not stop until we have restored what once made America the greatest country in human history.”

But for Dr. Paul’s efforts in the remaining State Conventions to be successful, and to ensure we get as many Ron Paul delegates to Tampa as we can, he needs you to continue standing with him.

Along those lines, as you probably already know, the grassroots are holding a Money Bomb on Thursday, May 17. Any money raised from that Money Bomb will go toward winning delegates and finalizing our plans for Tampa.

As those plans for the National Convention come together, we will make sure all of our delegates, whether bound or unbound, get the information and aid they need.

Your support on May 17 will also help us reach more Americans with the solutions we know can restore our nation. Each person we add to our cause strengthens our movement for the critical work that awaits us beyond Tampa.

Dr. Paul, John Tate, myself, and the entire campaign staff know what incredible sacrifices have been made by each of our supporters.

Thank you for all of your hard work and your dedication to liberty. Together, we will champion Ron Paul and his message in Tampa, and we will lay the groundwork for future victories.

HOW EASILY WE FORGET..

That Dr Paul has been fighting for our liberty since before most of you were born… To say that he is admitting defeat is an assumption that needs to be laid to rest..

First and foremost, he has always stressed that liberty means taking the bull by the horns and doing for yourself everything you possibly can. I believe many people have turned Ron Paul into an almost god-like figure who will miraculously fix everything himself. No one said this would be easy, or even that we would succeed. It is, and has been, a battle all the way to the finish line. The GOP and the whole political system in this country is a gigantic beast that will stoop to any means to keep the power and for one 76 year old man to even attempt to conquer it alone is foolish. It starts and ends LOCALLY, and Dr Paul has always stressed that.

Does anyone honestly believe that Ron Paul is going to give up now when after decades of fighting for OUR freedom, he finally has the whole world listening??

It is a crazy time we live in, and things are getting scary but how many times did our founding fathers nearly admit defeat only to grow a stronger backbone and come back fighting harder and harder and HARDER… until the government beast finally admitted defeat.

Stay tuned.. this is NOT over by a long shot.. Trust is an important quality to have these days…

“All delegates will be able

“All delegates will be able to vote on party rules and allow us to shape the process for future liberty candidates.”

If this was the goal, the campaign should have quit months ago and run 3rd party. This is a stupid goal. The system is not going to be changed by playing within the system. Things are not going to change by making gradual adjustments to an already corrupted party. Revolution is all there is – if you weren’t going to add the weight of the campaign to all of the conventions going on why even stick around? the campaign gave up months and months ago – it was all just matter of how to gracefully bow-out. Paul does not have the fortitude to actually stage a revolution at the RNC – he is too scared to go on with something as controversial as that.

No one cares about setting the GOP up for “liberty-minded” candidates.

Remember that poll about “What should the campaign do?” That was just to gauge the supporters reactions so that the campaign could take the cowardly way out while offending the least amount of people. They weren’t really trying to actually go through with the RNC delegate revolt. If they were, we might have actually pulled it off.

Member of over 3 years gets downgraded for his post

This is absolutely ridiculous and clearly shows the quality of the majority of the members on this site. I checked this dude’s previous postings. He’s been here for over 3 years and has numerous constructive postings.

His argument is clear and includes facts. Sure the majority are unhappy with the concerns he raises but dudes, this is liberty!

This movement will stagnate in a cesspool if the old guard are attacked for raising concerns.

When a newbie posts this he’s labelled a troll.

When a member of several months posts this he is accused of being an agent provateur.

When a member of a year posts this he’s a sh*t disturber that has lost his ways.

When a respected member of more than 3 years posts this…he gets downgraded and attacked nevertheless.

When an official writer / biographer of Ron Paul raises his concerns he is accused of being a self promoting scammer.

What else needs to be said? Are there solutions?

Here are a few:

1) Close the forum to free posting. Want to post? donate $50 a month. That should be enough to get rid of the high school dropouts that are posting here for some sense of personal identity.

or

2) Have postings “approved” before they are posted. You’ll need to have some open minded people to do this however. And of course, replies will lag.

or

3) Have mods with an aggressive kick out finger. Once again, you’ll need to make the parameters clear. Kick out those obviously missing a few brain cells and are unable to debate and discuss.

or

4) Leave the forum as it is but realize that militia friendly high school drop outs are ruling with their sheep mentality.

We are like the mechanism of a watch: each part is essential.

I’ve been a Paul supporter since 2000.

i mean, if people are putting so much time in to get delegate spots at least show up to the conventions. I’ll bet if Ron Paul or Doug Wead were at OK they wouldn’t have pulled anything.

There was no need

to give the media fodder for negative essays on Ron Paul. If the campaign strategy is changing, simply change it. They didn’t have to send out an unclear message. That’s not exactly like Ron Paul. Something else must be going on.

War + Decorum = November Win

One of the items I got from the Benton conference call was, we’ll use decorum, you (Romney folks) play by the rules, you need us.

Benton was walking a real fine line. Ron Paul is still in this to win.. Our chances have to do with getting delegates to get the nomination, but we must also retain enough respectability to win the November election too. If we go into full out war with the Romney camp without decorum, we may win the nomination but lose in November.

That doesn’t mean we are not in all out war mode still, just that we use some slightly different tactics. Work smart. Win the nomination AND November.

The campaign is trying to

The campaign is trying to tell the supporters that it is more or less over – that is what they have been trying to do for the last few months. Sure, continue to participate and gain spots – we will show up if you do but other than that our chances of actually getting the nomination are very small. Paul doesn’t want to leave everyone who has worked so hard and given so much out in the cold. So, he has showed up at rallies, etc… Its just PR at this point.

No it wouldn’t.

It would be completely ignored by the media. The 6 media corps that control all tv, radio, and print in this country will only report negatively on Ron Paul. There will never be a true positive story in the MSM on Ron Paul. They just can’t do it. So if they can’t make a negative story then there will be no story.

Correct but I bet they don’t

Correct but I bet they don’t really expect us to keep trying after this. That is where the advantage comes in. The elites actually really believe their are some 900 delegates who will support the Romster. Did you not notice the ‘written for the opposition’s consumption’ mention of as much in Mr Benton’s email? We know what the real count is as of today. Romnster 322, our guy 128. There are still over 1660 delegates yet to be selected. In a word, “It ain’t over, folks!” (I know, that’s four words – I’m a big tipper.)

PS, I will henceforth use pseudonyms for our opponents. Let the search engines have a harder time for the troll trying to asses our mood, plans and strategies.

Look, this makes perfect sense. Thanks, Jack…

The delegate strategy has worked: Ron Paul has achieved enough state delegation wins now to have his name placed in nomination at the convention in Tampa. That part of the mission is accomplished.

The target issue remaining is the amassing of delegates, so that we have the votes to win in Tampa.
